Unfortunately caused an allergic reaction

I purchased the Vichy Liftactiv Collagen Specialist 16 Serum with high hopes, as the brand has a solid reputation and the product promised to improve skin firmness and texture.
Unfortunately, after just a few uses, I started experiencing redness, irritation, and a burning sensation, especially on my cheeks. I stopped using it immediately. After reviewing the ingredients, I realized that some, like alcohol denat. and the vitamin C derivative, might not be suitable for sensitive skin like mine.
I’m disappointed because I know Vichy works well for many people, but in my case, it clearly triggered a negative reaction. I would recommend anyone with sensitive or reactive skin to patch test first or consult a dermatologist before full use.
It would be great if the brand offered a gentler version of this product for sensitive skin types, with fewer potentially irritating ingredients.

I only use Vichy products. I switched from a well known expensive product to an and Vichy is the bomb. I love the product so much. I will only use Vichy products they are amazing. I am 70 years old and just retired this year and no body believes me , I have no wrinkles just a few in the corner of my eyes ! I am a hair stylist and barber so recommend Vichy to all me clients when they comment on my skin ! Thank you Vichy for your amazing products.

The serum itself has a lightweight silky texture and you only need a couple of drops as it spreads out easily, it absorbs into the skin nicely leaving your skin feeling smooth, soft and hydrated. The packaging for me has a nice luxurious feel with the bright red glass bottle and pipette applicator making it easy to get the right amount of product. So I would certainly recommend this serum.

The first time using this i washed my face with a moisturising face wash, dried and then applied the serum. It smells absolutely beautiful and rubbed in really well. I thought it may leave my face oily but it didn't, it was very light and left no oily residue. It left my face so soft and also seems to have made it feeler firmer and my fine lines less prominent. I would definitely recommend product and it has definitely become a staple product in ny facial routine.

There is something about the smell that I do not like, a chemical or fishy type smell that does not have me reaching for this serum night and days use it day and night. The serum does absorb well into my skin and I do not have to rub it in.
I like the dropper bottle, it makes application and use much easier that a squirt bottle. No amount of serum goes to waste. I can use two to three drops of serum into my clean hands then pat onto my face.

Stop putting fragrance in your products!

I got this serum in a kit with the Mineral 89 serum, Vitamin C Brightening serum, Retinol serum and Anti-Dark Spots serum. Everything was sample-sized, other than the Mineral 89 bottle. It made more sense to buy this kit, as I already wanted the Mineral 89 and all these came included for almost the same price. I tried the collagen bonding serum for the first time tonight, and it felt very nice. It did seem to tighten the look of my skin. I love Vichy's Mineral 89 product, but my issue with this company is, why do you put fragrance in your products? I do not want fragrance in my toner, creams, serums, etc....that's a great thing about the Mineral 89, is there is NO fragrance. Just wonderful hydration. I think Vichy would be better for not using fragrances.

It comes in a fancy, sleek bottle with easy dosage cap. The serum is not too tick or loose, it melts in my skin, absorbs fast and leaves my skin soft and ready for the next step. I've been using it twice a day (well I skipped some evenings) for over a week and so far I like it, I know a week is not enough time to see if it works but my skin feels good, it is soft, toned and I can definitely see improvement in my skin barrier. Fine lines are slowly fading. I really like that it doesn't smell like chemicals as this would put me off instantly. I would recommend the serum and I am keen to try other products of the Liftactiv fanily

I used 6 drops morning and evening. It sinks in immediately and doesn't leave any residue or a feeling of greasiness. Initially my skin looks smooth when it first goes on, but this doesn't last. I've not really noticed any firmness yet but it's only been a week so this may take time. It interacts well with my other moisturisers and doesn't make them pile which is brilliant. Although I'm older, I still have really oily skin. It doesn't make my skin feel any more oily than usual but isn't mattifying either. All in all I wouldn't probably buy again unless I see a difference in firmness after a few weeks of use rather than just a week.

It’s a light weight serum, that spreads evenly and is absorbed quickly, making skin feel hydrated and healthy. I apply the serum in the morning after my shower and sometimes at night when my skin is clean, followed by my moisturiser. It’s suitable for all skin types and especially too for sensitive skin. It’s an anti ageing serum to help prevent wrinkles, fine lines, produce collagen, firmness, structure and give an over all healthy, hydrated and natural look. I’m impressed with the professional presentation of the 30ml red glossy bottle, two drops is all you need. The serum felt lightweight and absorbed quickly into the skin. After consistent use, I didn't notice any visible changes or improvements. It didn't cause any irritation or breakouts, which was a positive aspect. Unfortunately, the serum did not deliver the promised results for my skin concerns. Hydrating serum with mixed effect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This liquidy serum comes in a dropper bottle. I find half a full dropper enough for face, but I’d recommend using one full dropper, if using down to full décolletage. It has a lightweight feel, but is fairly hydrating on my dehydrated skin. I wasn’t sure what ingredients were causing it, but I noticed on initial use, some slight irritation until my skin got used to it. I haven’t really noticed anti-ageing affects after 4 weeks use and unfortunately I’ve experienced a lot more breakouts. I haven’t figured out what’s causing these - whether it’s the serum or the creams, or all. However, some of the breakout marks have faded quicker than usual, probably due to key actives like the niacinamide and the peptides. It has a light floral scent which is not generally noticeable after application. It has caused some pilling with some of my makeup, but not as much as the creams from the same range. For a premium priced product, I do have to say I expected more.

I used this serum along with the other products in this range daily for about a month and my skin looks and feels plump and younger. The serum gets easily absorbed in the skin and with consistent use, I noticed that my smile lines were less visible, skin looks very hydrated and plump. Love this range and the serum as it gives visible results. The only con I noticed was the fragrance which isn’t to my liking.

There is something about the smell that I do not like, a chemical or fishy type smell that does not have me reaching for this serum night and days use it day and night. The serum does absorb well into my skin and I do not have to rub it in.
I like the dropper bottle, it makes application and use much easier that a squirt bottle. No amount of serum goes to waste. I can use two to three drops of serum into my clean hands then pat onto my face.

Stop putting fragrance in your products!

I got this serum in a kit with the Mineral 89 serum, Vitamin C Brightening serum, Retinol serum and Anti-Dark Spots serum. Everything was sample-sized, other than the Mineral 89 bottle. It made more sense to buy this kit, as I already wanted the Mineral 89 and all these came included for almost the same price. I tried the collagen bonding serum for the first time tonight, and it felt very nice. It did seem to tighten the look of my skin. I love Vichy's Mineral 89 product, but my issue with this company is, why do you put fragrance in your products? I do not want fragrance in my toner, creams, serums, etc....that's a great thing about the Mineral 89, is there is NO fragrance. Just wonderful hydration. I think Vichy would be better for not using fragrances.

It comes in a fancy, sleek bottle with easy dosage cap. The serum is not too tick or loose, it melts in my skin, absorbs fast and leaves my skin soft and ready for the next step. I've been using it twice a day (well I skipped some evenings) for over a week and so far I like it, I know a week is not enough time to see if it works but my skin feels good, it is soft, toned and I can definitely see improvement in my skin barrier. Fine lines are slowly fading. I really like that it doesn't smell like chemicals as this would put me off instantly. I would recommend the serum and I am keen to try other products of the Liftactiv fanily

I used 6 drops morning and evening. It sinks in immediately and doesn't leave any residue or a feeling of greasiness. Initially my skin looks smooth when it first goes on, but this doesn't last. I've not really noticed any firmness yet but it's only been a week so this may take time. It interacts well with my other moisturisers and doesn't make them pile which is brilliant. Although I'm older, I still have really oily skin. It doesn't make my skin feel any more oily than usual but isn't mattifying either. All in all I wouldn't probably buy again unless I see a difference in firmness after a few weeks of use rather than just a week.

It’s a light weight serum, that spreads evenly and is absorbed quickly, making skin feel hydrated and healthy. I apply the serum in the morning after my shower and sometimes at night when my skin is clean, followed by my moisturiser. It’s suitable for all skin types and especially too for sensitive skin. It’s an anti ageing serum to help prevent wrinkles, fine lines, produce collagen, firmness, structure and give an over all healthy, hydrated and natural look. I’m impressed with the professional presentation of the 30ml red glossy bottle, two drops is all you need. Fantastic bonding serum

I bought this a month ago and I'm so happy I did. After a month of using the collagen bonding serum, my skin is firmer, plumper and glows. I would highly recommend.

Not the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the serum for a week, it would leave dry patches after it dried. So once I put a moisturiser on top, that helped. Wasn't the best serum I've used
