Hair Fall Shampoos

Hair is made from keratin (a protein) in hair follicles in the skin. Each of the approximately 100,000 hair follicles on an individual's head operate independently of each other, following a continuous cycle of hair growth and rest periods.[1, 2] A range of intrinsic and extrinsic factors, including genetics, ageing, gender, hormones, stress or fatigue, can cause this cycle to become disrupted, resulting in noticeable hair fall. External aggressors can also make hair become brittle and more prone to breakage.

Discover Dercos of anti-hair fall shampoos enriched with our patented molecule aminexil designed to protect hair from external aggressors that make hair prone to breakage.

Frequently Asked Questions
About HAIR FALL

Q1: What shampoo is good for hair fall?

DERCOS Energy+ Aminexil Stimulating Shampoo by Vichy is a stimulating shampoo for all hair types to help fight hair loss caused by breakage. Enriched with internationally patented molecule Aminexil (scientifically proven to reduce hair loss) and niacinamide, the hypoallergenic formula is suitable for sensitive scalps.

It has a white, pearlescent texture and pleasant smell, is easy to apply and rinse off.

The shampoo instantly deeply cleanses the scalp, reinforcing and protecting your hair to leave it feeling nourished and revitalised, with an increase in volume lasting 24hr.[3] After 5 uses, the hair fibre is reinforced by 47%, and hair regains its natural strength.[4] And after 4 weeks, the scalp microbiome is rebalanced.[5]

What shampoo do dermatologists recommend for hair fall?

DERCOS dermatological hair and scalp technology is developed with dermatologists by Vichy, a brand recommended by over 50,000 dermatologists worldwide.[6]

A component of the DERCOS by Vichy Anti-Hair Loss Protocol, DERCOS Energy+ Aminexil Stimulating Shampoo can be combined with the Fortifying Conditioner and AMINEXIL PRO 5 serum to deliver anti-hair loss benefits for stronger, thicker looking hair.

Can some shampoos contribute to hair loss?

Anecdotal reports have linked some common shampoo ingredients, like sulfates (lathering and cleansing agents) and formaldehyde (a preservative), to hair loss, but to date there's little (if any) solid research to back up these claims. That said, sulfates, formaldehyde, and a number of other chemicals often used in shampoo formulations may irritate sensitive scalp and skin.

Sulfate-based shampoos tend to strip natural oils from fine or dry hair even more easily, leaving it brittle and at risk of breakage. This can give the appearance of hair loss.
